So many changes!

It has been such an eventful time for you! On January 15th, you had oatmeal for the first time! On January 20th, you rolled over all the way (on camera, although I swear I saw it happen two days before that)! You are SO close to saying your first word! Today, January 23rd, you had Butternut Squash baby food for the first time! We love you so much! -Your Dad, Kerry

Sick Days

Your first week of daycare got you sick for the first time. It’s just a cold, but we feel so bad seeing you congested and struggling. We kept you home from daycare on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, it was just you and me, since mom is back at work. We watched cartoons and slept for most of the day.  You’re such a tough kid; I’m not sure where you get that from. You look at mom and smile after every cough or sneeze, as if to reassure her that you’re okay. You’re such a good son, we both love you so much! Tomorrow you have a checkup at the pediatrician. I hope you feel better soon! -Your Dad, Kerry

New Year, New Routines

Happy New Year, Brooklyn! Unfortunately, I had to work overnight on NYE, but you and your mom came and visited me so that we could ring in the new year together — it was awesome! On Monday, we hung out together at the park, and then grilled and lit sparklers. Tuesday, you started daycare! We were so nervous! Your mom and I cried, but you were so brave!  Today your mom went back to work, and I started my new morning routine of getting you ready and taking you to daycare. We both really miss you, and are so proud of how great you are adjusting to so many changes. It seems like you are VERY close to saying your first word. It’s so exciting. I love you! -Your Dad, Kerry

Christmas part 2

It’s a tradition on my (your mom’s) side of the family that we celebrate Christmas on an alternate date which was Friday the 29th this year. We also do a whole family gift exchange to make gift giving a bit easier.  We made the trip to your grandmas house in Beeville early in the morning and you made me so proud because you slept the whole way. You loved seeing all of your favorite people but we can be pretty loud when we’re all together and you were a little overwhelmed by everything.  You got to meet your cousins Sydney and Cameron for the first time and your Uncle Aaron was one of the only people you wanted to hold you. He taught me how to snuggle when I was a baby just like I cuddle you now so it makes sense that you liked him. You also got to meet your Auntie Bo (Vero) and Uncle Eric who you also really enjoyed. Your Aunt Adela had you for the gift exchange and made you a blanket (pictures attached) that you instantly fell in love with. She also got you a book becau...
