Fourth of July 🇺🇸

 Happy 1st Independence Day baby!

First, we went to see your Dada at work in George West. You were excited as always to hang out with him for a little bit. Then we went to Beeville to visit your Grandma and Opa. They showed you what Independence Day is all about: eating delicious food like bacon wrapped hotdogs and hamburgers, watching movies like Independence Day, Hamilton and National Treasure, and taking GREAT naps. Dada even came all the way to Beeville after his long shift at work to spend more time with us. He’s the best. You slept so soundly on the drive home while listening to some jazz music and only woke up when we were almost home because our street was lined with police officers. I still don't know what happened out there. We love experiencing your firsts with you and hope you had a great day!

  Brooklyn, I’m sorry I haven’t updated this more often. Life sure is hectic nowadays. You’re growing so fast! You can form sentences and we can communicate better with each day.  Every single day you do something that completely blows me away. You are so smart, talented, brave, funny, and kind. I like that we are developing hobbies together. It’s so fun to watch you get excited over basketball, or Spider-Man, or music, or monster trucks, or trains. We grew broccoli sprouts together last month. You ate the first batch in one sitting.  You have a little green wagon and I love going on walks with you. Potty Training

 I definitely need to post more updates on here but this felt like a milestone worth mentioning - you started potty training, and are doing so well!! You moved up to room 10 at school where potty training is a big focus. We got you your own little potty to practice at home as well and you’re going by yourself just about every day. You’re still in diapers for now but I’m confident those will be a thing of the past soon.  You’re learning and growing so FAST. We’re so proud of you but if you want to stay little for a bit longer, we would be ok with that. Love you to the moon and back  ❤️Mama

23 Months

 We’re about a week away from you being 23 months old and you just continue to grow and amaze us every day. Your favorite things: Music! You still love playing drums/ any percussion instruments but you recently got a ukulele that is the perfect size for you. You and your dad also love playing the harmonica together and it’s pretty amazing to watch.  You love listening to music and singing as well. Your favorite songs to sing are Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Baby Shark, ABCs, and honorable mention for Blur - Song 2.  You love the outdoors, specifically trees, the moon, and the rain.  Your other special interests right now are trains, fireworks, and monster trucks. You very frequently ask for us to play videos of these things for you. We’re hoping to take you on a train ride for your birthday and your Opa has your ear plugs ready for the next Monster Truck Jam we can get to.
